Two Way Data Exchange Between
Lotus Notes Applications And Palm-Powered Devices
The Problem...
Most
data conduits that link information between Lotus Notes and Palm-powered
devices only synchronize information from the local user’s calendar and address
book. But what about corporate
information? How can you link your palm
devices to more than one application; including CRM, team scheduling databases,
and more? Isn’t there a way to use a
single Palm calendar to view ALL of my activities from ALL of my applications?
The Solution...
The Osmosis Palm
Connector gives you this flexibility and more. By providing you with a toolkit, our data
mapper software allows you to use @Formula functions to synchronize information
between any Lotus Notes application and your Palm-powered device. A single Palm device can view activities,
contacts, and to-dos from many different Lotus Notes databases.
Also, the Osmosis Palm
Connector can be centrally administered. This gives you the ability to roll out more
information to your Palm devices without having to install new software on the
client machines.
Configuring new conduits is a breeze...
Simply
point to a Lotus Notes database, and provide the field name or an @Formula
function to match up with each of the existing fields that exist in the
built-in Palm-powered applications.
That’s it! The synchronization
conduit takes care of the rest.
You
can choose to replicate all records in a database, any subset of records, or
let your users “select” which records they wish to receive on their Palm.
And,
you can configure Lotus Notes agents to run against each new insert or update,
allowing you to trigger other events or updates automatically.
