"Where in the world am I going to find…" Our Client: Bob is the IS Director of BMI , Inc. an electronic component manufacturing company HQ in the Chicago area with two plants in Illinois and one in Germany. The Technical Setting: BMI uses a Progress 4GL based manufacturing software application (DCD/Dataworks) that operates on a Microsoft NT network utilizing Citrix servers for WAN communications. The Client Concern: Bob Smyk: "I called Rainmakers because Jon has helped us find some hard-to-find Progress-related experts for our Illinois locations and helped resolve a Citrix performance problem. But this was different. This time I needed a varied NT and infrastructure skilled resources in Germany. To make things tougher, we were looking for someone fluent in German, and English who was willing to work on an as-needed basis. To keep our project on track we needed them to start in less than three weeks. Frankly, I thought it was a long shot. But Jon and the staff at Rainmakers started the search immediately." The Rainmakers Approach: Jon Liberman: "I think Bob was surprised when we agreed to help locate a German-speaking NT/Infrastructure resource. I told him that we could make no guarantees…but, frankly, I was optimistic. Over the years many of our clients have identified needs for help with technology issues at their manufacturing centers and distribution centers abroad. So we have maintained close links with trade and professional associations, companies and vendors who can help us locate specialized skills around the world. We introduced Bob to one local Partner who has offices in Europe, but they were unable to meet BMI's needs. We needed to expand the search. We finally located a viable firm in Germany who successfully met BMI's support requirements and buying preferences." Client Feedback: Bob Smyk: "I was grasping for straws when I asked Jon for help. After their first Partner turned out not to workout I expected him to give up, so imagine my surprise when Jon called with a German firm who fit the bill. We were able to make the deadline. Rainmakers gets my first calls for the tough ones." purpose & promises | services | partners | clients & case studies | resources common questions, uncommon answers | ideas you can use | homepage site design by grupomarin.net | © 2001-2007 JONCORR, INC.
